Serena Poletti es una artista cuya investigación artística se ocupa de técnicas y materiales tradicionales como el grabado, la caligrafía y el dibujo, además de la escultura y la instalación. Su interpretación meditativa se inspira en la ciencia y la física, con un interés personal en la filosofía taoísta, para llegar a una visión del universo vinculada a una idea personal del vacío y el silencio.
Nacida en Pordenone, Italia, en 1986, después de obtener su licenciatura en Farmacia, Paoletti se matriculó en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Venecia, donde desarrolló su investigación artística basada en la naturaleza filosófica y física del Vacío, concebido como fuente potencial de toda manifestación estética.
Está particularmente interesada en representar lo que existe pero no se puede ver, como el micro y el macrocosmos y las energías que rodean a los seres vivos, desarrollándolo a través del estudio del signo.
Durante su residencia artística en Castelo Studio exploró las posibilidades de la xilografía como medio para desarrollar su lenguaje gráfico. Como resultado creó una edición de estampas a una tinta con matriz de madera.
Serena Poletti is an artist whose artistic research deals with traditional techniques and materials such as printmaking, calligraphy and drawing, as well as sculpture and installation. His meditative interpretation is inspired by science and physics, with a personal interest in Taoist philosophy, which has led her to a vision of the universe linked to a personal idea of emptiness and silence.
Born in Pordenone, Italy, in 1986, after obtaining her degree in Pharmacy, Serena decided to enroll at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, where she developed her artistic research based on the philosophical and physical nature of the Void, conceived as a potential source of all aesthetic manifestation. She is particularly interested in representing what exists but cannot be seen, such as the micro and macro cosmos and the energies that exist around living beings, developing it through the study of the sign.
During her artistic residency at Castelo Studio, she explored the possibilities of xylography and woodcut as a means to develop her graphic language. As a result, she created an edition of handprinted xylographs out of wood-carved plates.
